3 Exercise Tools for Home

3 Exercise Tools I Love to Use While Working from Home (but can be used by everybody!)

Here are exercise tools for home that I love to use. While working from home gives more flexibility, there is of course barriers such as cost of gym memberships, availability of nearby gyms, or simple transit time. These exercise tools for home can also be great for anyone – not just those that are self-employed.

1. Mini Personal Elliptical

I LOVE this under the desk elliptical – Stamina In-Motion Elliptical Trainer.

This desk elliptical trainer for home, personal, or office use is available on Amazon here:

Honestly, I would find it a bit difficult to use under a desk. However, I have found it great to use while sitting on the couch, ottoman, and even have tried it standing up (although I do not believe it is recommended for use this way). I use it on a carpet surface. What is great about it is the time flies by and I will play games for money or take surveys while using this. For some ideas on how to pass the time while using this small (AND QUIET) personal elliptical machine, see these related posts. (which apply for other exercise machines or gyms as well!!!)

2. Ab Roller

Great for the abs but maybe not practical for in-office (depending on your office set up). This is one I use that produces great results in very little time. But, be sure to be careful on how much time you spend on it as I have found it can be a bit more difficult on my back at first. Also, I would suggest using it on carpeting. You will feel the burn the next day!

My pick? Perfect Fitness Carver Pro Roller for Core Workouts. Available here:

Also, if you do not have an Amazon Prime subscription, now is the time to get one with Amazon Prime Day coming up July 15. Sign-up for a free 30 day trial here for music, shows, free shipping on many items, and more:

3. Free Apps

7 minute workout apps are fantastic and can be a great resource for a free quick workout that uses very little than a chair wall and the floor. Check these out to get you started.

Other Ideas to Save Money Working Out from Home

  • Get creative! Use soup cans or other small objects and look up exercises for working out your arms with these. Also, chairs can be great to use for working out your arms.
  • Use resources. YouTube, Pinterest, and many other social media sites, along with search engines, are full with easy workouts you can do with simply your body at home. Also, you can sometimes find some great free videos for a fun exercise routine!
  • And, use whatever you have around. Always remember not all exercise requires a gym membership!

Final Thoughts

I think exercise tools for home can be great for anyone working from home or just as a way to save money with gym costs and transit time. Remember, a little bit of a workout can add up. If you do not want to spend the money to buy equipment, no worries! There are free apps out there to help you.
