Microtask Apps – 5 Apps that Reward for Quick Tasks

5 Microtask Apps

Here are 5 microtask apps that reward you for doing quick tasks or micro task apps. Do not always expect a large payout, but the tasks are very quick and easy. Also, note that this is updated based on recent developments as of May 2020, so some do not currently still accept new members or have halted, but hopefully, that will change.

Five apps that reward for micro tasks or quick tasks

5 Apps that Reward for Quick Tasks

1. 1Q

  • I originally mentioned this in this post on surveys. Here is another (more brief) run-down.
  • Available: App can be downloaded on the App Store and on Google Play.
  • Referral Program? Yes (although the app says this is offered from time to time so it may vary).
    • My referral link: 1Q.com/97goef
    • Current payout for each referral: $0.25 for us both!
    • And then share your referral link so you can earn too!
  • Time spent per question?: 30 seconds or less (approximately).
  • Overview: This app is a bit different. Rather than surveys, it gives you one question, or sometimes a few.
  • Note: Turn on notifications because the questions pop up sporadically. Personally, my notifications for this app do not always work. If you do not answer the question within 24 hours (typically), you miss it.
  • Also note you may need to keep on location services.
    • Does this hurt data or battery? For me, I have NOT seen this impact my data much at all. Or battery life. But it will bring up more questions if I am in different areas.
  • Choosing Pay: You can choose between 25 cents or 50 cents. So, if you are hoping for more 1Q questions, you may want to switch to 25 cents if you have it set to 50 cents now.
    •

2. Google Opinion Rewards

  • Available: get the app on the App Store or on Google Play.
  • Referral Program? Yes.
  • Overview: Asks you quick questions that pop up sporadically.
    • Questionnaires are usually 1-3 questions.
    • You have 24 hours to answer.
    • Time to take them? Not long at all! Very quick.
    • Pay is not high for those, but time spent is very minimal.
  • Payout: Pay is automatic once you hit $2.
    • Expect 10-50 cents per questionnaire you get (approximately).
  • Payout method: Payment is sent to PayPal in less than a week. From my experience, it is usually faster than that (usually immediate for me).

3. Spare5

  • Available: Visit Spare5’s website to sign up and/or for a link to download the app from the App Store. (app is no longer available)
    • You can complete tasks without the app on the website as well.
    • Website tip: if you see no opportunities on the app (or if you have Android), then check out the website. Why? There are usually more opportunities on the website.
  • Referral Program? NO – SPARE 5 ENDED THEIR REFERRAL PROGRAM. Yes. You are available after earning $10 from the app.
  • Overview: basically, this has some quick tasks that pay low but take minimal time.
    • It also has some more on its webpage and some reviews for this app are very good.
    • There are many tasks that you first need to do unpaid qualifier tests for.
      • To me, these are time consuming and a bit frustrating. You get locked out and have to retry if you do not do them well enough. So, I stick with the short tasks on the app.
  • Payout method: Pay is automatic once you hit $1.
    • Payment is made to PayPal based on your balance every Thursday (so expect payment on Friday-Saturday).

Other Notes

  • Spare 5 went through a lot of changes. Currently, they are processing prior members that can then be allowed to do Spare 5 tasks again. However, their website states that they are not taking new members.

4. ThoughtBase

  • Availability: Download the app either on the App Store or you can check out the app’s website for more information on updates and more.
  • Rundown: I discussed this app on my post about how to earn money via miscellaneous apps that reward you post.
    • Check out that post for more.
  • Good things to note:
    • This app changes pretty frequently…
    • Right now it will pop up with queries which are VERY quick and usually pay $2. Great payout but they do not pop up often.
    • So a frustrating thing is you usually have to sign in to the app to see if any new queries are there.
  • Payout: Payment is made automatically and immediately to PayPal upon completing each query.

5. JobSpotter

  • Available: Get the app on the App Store for iOS or on Google Play.
  • Rundown: Originally discussed this app on my miscellaneous apps that reward you post.
    • Check out that post for more.
  • Overview:
    • Essentially you take quick pics of help wanted signs for points.
    • These points are redeemable for Amazon gift cards.
    • It seems like a small amount of points, but it has added up for me.
    • PRO: I enjoy it because it helps people find jobs.
    • ANOTHER PRO: When you travel, you can maybe rake up serious money quick!!! Check out my post on how to vacation on a budget and make and save money for more.

NOTE:

For now JobSpotter has halted operations. I hope it will resume them soon. And will update when/if it does.

Now: You try out one of these microtask apps yourself. It won’t take much time!
