This is my third it pays to play post. Here are some more apps that pay to play; or where you can play games to win money and rewards

it pays to play round 3 - apps that pay to play

It Pays to Play – Five Additional Apps that Pay to Play (or otherwise reward you)

1. Win It!

  • Available: get the app on the App Store or on Google Play.
  • Rundown: spin for the chance to get items or points which can be used to buy items on shopyourway.com.
    • Free to play.
    • You get 10 spins per 24 hours. Choose ten different items to have listed to use on the spin to win.
    • As far as I can tell, you cannot use your spins on the same item in any given 24-hour timeframe.
    • However, after you choose your first 10 items, you can change them and switch out to include another item or item(s) in this list of 10.
    • “Xtra” games can cost to play but also can be free. You can get other prizes this way.
    • Good list of items to choose from to “spin to win” for. Ranging from side tables to laptops to gaming systems to furniture.
    • You watch a VERY short ad before spinning so ads are not that bad at all.
    • Come back every 24 hours for 10 new spins!
  • What is ShopYourWay.com?
    • You can earn points from the daily spins or bonus spin games in the apps.
    • You also can earn points for amounts you spend on certain items if purchased through the site or with a connected credit card or account.
    • Note that the points DO expire after a rather short period of time. However, they expire after you earn those You can keep earning more.
    • Points can be used towards purchasing certain items for sale on this website – which has a large amount of items available.
  • My thoughts? This really takes minimal time to spin for possible potential prizes. It is difficult to be able to tell the odds of winning and I have not yet won a prize. The points system is a nice feature. Overall, I think the app is worth it because the ads are so short and it is free to try.
  • Referral Program? Yup.
      • Get a giveaway (ranges in value) if: you are a new player, sign up via this link, and do at least one “Spin to Win” (free).

2. ProveIt

  • Available: get the app on the App Store.
    • Note that this IS a more gambling app, so it is only available in select states in the U.S.
    • Also: unsure about Google Play availability – but happy to add it if someone tells me otherwise!
  • Rundown:
    • You get a few free ways to play at the beginning.
    • It is a trivia game – head-to-head. So if you lose, you are done.
    • After you use up your free beginning balance, you need to spend money.
    • Rewards? Money.
    • So yes, this is very much gambling. But trivia version!
    • There are ways (I believe) to earn some extra money via free methods.
    • One is referrals….
  • Referral bonus? Refer a friend and when they spend, you get money.
    • So if they use your code and make a deposit, you get $10.
    • Use my code if you want: wandering4money.
    • Get up to a $25 bonus when you make your first deposit with my code
  • My thoughts? I am very disappointed this does not allow for you to earn money via more free methods. For people like me, it becomes pretty dull after you run out of the beginning allowance. Also, it is limited to only a few states so there’s that issue.

3.  Arena

  • Available: get the app on the App Store.
    • Also unsure about Google Play availability but will check!
  • Rundown: this is another live trivia game. Think Cash Show or HQ Trivia, both talked about in my it pays to play round 2 post.
    • Basically, you play trivia at set times.
    • You can get extra lives by inviting friends (see referral program below).
    • A difference with this one? You join teams. Which is kind of cool. PLUS if you get to the end and you are on the winning team, then you get double the prize.
      • Also, there are less people than Cash Show and HQ Trivia. So, it makes it a bit more competitive for people that are newer (like me) to this.
    • Otherwise, it very much reminds me of Cash Show.
  • Referral Program? Yes.
    • What does it get you? An extra life when you refer others.
      • You can use one extra life per game.
      • There is also something you get (or buy) called “ask the mob”. The mob is the team you pick at the beginning of the game. You can select this option to go with the answer that most members in your mob select. Note they may be wrong though. Can only use one per game.
    • Based off what it says now, I get 2x your winnings anytime I get 3 friends to play a game with me. Here is my invite code: TealFirefly4244.
  • My view? I like trivia games and I like the added aspect of the teams.
    • It also seems to follow a theme which is kind of cool in my opinion.
    • But if you run out of lives, like other live trivia games, then that’s usually it unless you spend money or refer friends. To me, that’s not ideal.
    • But otherwise, it is good! And if you like Cash Show, you will like this.

4. WinThings

  • Available: get the app on the App Store.
    • Unsure about Google Play availability.
  • Rundown: Basically you sign up for sweepstakes.
  • I have not used this much but it looks like an easy way to sign up for sweepstakes. I will update if I use more in the future.

5. Swag IQ

  • Available: get the app on the App Store and Google Play.
  • Rundown: another set time trivia type app.
    • This is part of the Swagbucks group. SO you get rewarded in Swagbucks points (instead of direct cash) – these points can be exchanged for gift cards.
    • What does this mean? Your Swagbucks earned count towards other Swagbucks apps and sites (so long as connected to the same account).
  • Referral Program? Yes!
  • My thoughts? Not much different than other trivia type games that occur at set times. Except that you get Swagbucks points instead of cash which is perhaps not ideal…
    • I admit that I am not a fan of the set time trivia type games…but they can be fun! It is a good way to rack up points.
    • This one, especially if you use other Swagbucks apps and sites.

Final Thoughts
