Wandering For Money - Green Brick Road

It Pays to Play – Round 2

It Pays to Play – Round 2

Everyone has at least one app that’s a game right? Why not turn games that are otherwise fun into reward opportunities?? It pays to play.

Pay to Play

I think what I mention in this post should be fun for you first off. If rewards come? Great. If not, you can get burnt out because its not always the case with these types of apps or site.

But why not throw in some playful reward-earning apps or sites as you go along making side income from home. So…..

So here’s 6 more ways where it pays to play.
It pays to play round 2 - apps that pay you to play

1. Lucktastic

  • Available: on App Store and Google Play.
    • OR just use my referral link: Hey Friends, here’s an invite to play Lucktastic – enter to win up to $10,000 instantly. It’s free to play! https://goo.gl/MwBEsq
  • Referral program? Yes. But honestly it looks like only the person referring gets a benefit.
  • Possible rewards: rewards in money or gift cards (via contents) or you can get tokens to generate to put used towards varying contents.  Basically? Usually it’s a sweepstakes method but with lower amounts especially, you may just win by playing.
  • Daily bonus? YES. Check in. This can rack you up tokens to spend on contest entries easily but only if you stay consistent for a week. If you don’t, just start over with the next!
  • Rundown: You get new scratch off type cards each day. You can then use the winnings (tokens) from these to get entries into contests such as money, pay off bills, a staycation, gift cards or in-App perks that may help you generate more of these tokens.
    • Usually during the video you get codes which can be used for extra entries in a contest (see below) or other in-app contents.
    • Note these are played lived BUT so far, I have been able to watch them later. Just keep in mind that then you may not get to use the code you hear for every day that week.
    • So far, in my experience, they have been played on Fridays (early afternoon Eastern Time) via social media.
    • These videos can be long but sometimes pretty entertaining. If you watch it live, you can vote in polls throughout and hear the live status on those.
    • I really liked the staycation one from a recent video. I feel like everyone really wants a staycation in February but no one ever admits it?
    • Basically: the videos aren’t just a giant promotion. They really not promoting much besides the app (even if gift cards are thrown in- it never seems too sales pitchy).
  • Daily Scratch Off Cards: You do not need to watch videos to get your daily scratch off cards.
    • So how does this work?? Usually for each scratch off card you watch some ad (although not always which I find pretty cool). It’s then like scratching off a lottery ticket, but on your phone. You can get rewarded in money OR tokens.
  • What are tokens for?? Tokens can be used to enter into various contests. Prizes range from money, more tokens, gifts cards, free items and sometimes a selection from those all combined into one contest reward.
    • There are always multiple contests. So you choose what you want to enter your tokens into!
  • You can also visit an affiliated site which rewards you by trying out apps.
    • NOTE: many apps may have a reward for downloading and/or truly out certain promoted apps. In my experience, you can find a lot of overlap between apps that will ask you to download or play [insert RANDOM name] app. I’ve found apps I like through this BUT some I don’t so then it’s more about the reward. Problem is a lot of times, you get no reward if you already downloaded that app before at any point in time.
  • So I’d advise to maybe decide how you feel about the app offering these before you try this out type reward features. Just in case you want to get points for a certain game through another app.
  • If you download a few apps through a few different apps for rewards, you may just end up with a lot of low balances spread out. This will really suck if you can’t cash out until you meet some minimum.
  • Usually, with most apps, you only get some rewards or points if it is your first time downloading that app. So you can’t always (or ever from my experience) download it one place, collect, delete and try downloading again from another app. Just something to keep in mind!
  • This app confused me at first so if you need help, just ask!

2. Total Trivia

  • Available on App Store  and Google Play.
  • Referral program? Yes. Here is my link/message from them “Join Total Trivia with this link and receive 10 discount coupons FREE! https://totaltrivia.com/r/wandering4?t=1519631548“ or simply enter in my code: wandering4
  • Rundown: this app runs various trivia “tournaments” throughout the name and often numerous ones at once.
  • Rewards: you can choose the tournament based on what reward you want. Most are various items, some are gift cards (such as Amazon) and some are “discount coupons” that can be used to purchase extra lives from the app’s store to help you while playing future tournaments.
  • Daily bonus? sort of – but not everyday in my experience. Take advantage of it when you can.
  • Thoughts

    • This app is maybe not always offering the most exciting prizes in my option, but it’s fun. And you can play for a prize you don’t want. BUT, if this is the case, should you win, head on over to eBay and just sell it!!
    • A lot of tournaments go on – some are live and some aren’t (at this moment – since this changes recently).
    • For the ones that are not running in “live-mode” (which used to be all of them but now are just the ones to win more “discount coupons”), NOTE you CAN watch an ad-sponsored video before spending any discount coupons.
    • Also daily tournaments occur occasionally and sporadically (e.g, answer 10 questions in a row correctly) but that can reward you with discount coupons.
    • I have had this app only a few weeks and it’s already changed up so keep that in mind.
  • BEST PART: it’s just fun!

3. Cash Show

  • Available: via the App Store or Google Play.
  • Referral program? YUP. Both get free extra lives to use. HERE IS MINE AND PLEASE Use my referral code: “I’m playing Cash Show! Come and play with me! Enter my invitation code and both of us can get an “Extra Life” in game! https://live-share.tuanguwen.com/share/invitation/En?chars=7XN89S “
    • Either use the above link or use this code: 7XN89S
  • Rundown: another trivia app. However, unlike Total Trivia, it only has rounds at a few set times during the day. These occur at a set pre-announced time (pop ups will remind you if you are OK with those).
    • There are usually about 2-4 of them throughout each day.
  • Rewards? Cash.

4. HQ Trivia

  • Available on App Store and Google Play.
  • Rundown: another trivia app. It is very similar to Cash Show and also has trivia events at pre-announced times at least once a day. These events occur live.
  • Rewards? Mainly you can cash or other prizes by winning tournaments.
  • Referral Program? YES. Use my referral code and we both get extra lives to use to stay in a tournament (if you answer incorrectly) upon you first using my code. It is: wanderingformoney

5. POP! Slots

  • Available: on App Store and Google Play.
  • Overview: Think of it as almost like a little virtual casino.
  • You accumulate coins to get up to a point that you can receive prizes in return. And without spending ever!! $$
  • Rewards: chips earned from playing can be exchanged primarily for Vegas resorts’ credit.
  • NOTE: Although you really don’t have to, You CAN spend money (you almost always can with any app or site out there). I personally don’t with any of these and generally with apps that much in general. ***see note below!

6. Bitcoin Alien Run

  • Available: on App Store and Google Play.
  • Rewards? in Satoshi.
  • Thoughts and rundown: This app is just really fun on its own (without rewards at play). It like other games out there where your character is running and you hit buttons to get it to jump basically.
  • Plus side of this app??? Not many ads really which is cool. It seems to have even less ads than similar games that reward you in nothing.
  • Referral Program? YES: http://www.bitcoingameapps.com/track.php?ref=5727067

To Spend or Not to Spend???

***So anything I mentioned you CAN do without having to spend money – really keep this in mind because yes it can be tempting with sales and whatnot, but get to know the app or site very well first. Get some reward first. So you know how the reward process works and whether you can get there. It’ll give you a better idea of whether it’s worth spending any money before you do. If you find out it’s worth it, and want to, it may be worth it for you. Just have a little familiarity with how any app or site works for you first.

Final thoughts

So these are VERY much apps I just like first off because they are fun to use. I want to emphasize this point for a few reasons:

  • if trying to make money on the side via online opportunities/make money from home or online type things, you can find tons and tons of posts saying it’s easy to make a certain amount in a week or month. This is especially trust with some of the popular apps and sites.
  • I think what I usually find from googling make money from home, survey sites, secret shopping, make money apps, etc. lands me a few pages with apps that barely pay and a lot of frustration and wasted time.
  • This is NOT the only experience I have had. But if you find apps/sites/platforms you like anyways, if they do not work so well for you – theres still some bonus in using them.
  • BASICALLY: Don’t get discouraged either and try these money making apps and sites for SOME other reason besides money.

Have fun!
