10 Apps to Earn Amazon Gift Cards

1. ProductTube

For ProductTube, you film short videos (around 3 minutes) describing products you buy and get paid $5-75 in Amazon gift cards.

  • Qualifying and Applying to Projects: You need to qualify and apply for available projects first. Sometimes you only need to click “qualify” for new projects and right away they show up in your queue.
    • The next step is to hit “apply.”
    • Only do this for the ones you want to do and can do.
    • The next step will be completing the project.
  • Completing a Project:
    • Follow the project’s instructions CAREFULLY. Review them before you apply to the project to see if you want to complete it and if it is at a store you can get to (for projects in stores).
    • Time to complete? The app tells you when the video is due for that project. It could be under a day to a few days, depending on the project and how soon you apply to it after it drops.
    • Instructions say where the video needs to be filmed (at home or in a specific store), the product to discuss (or product category you are shopping for in-store), the types of questions you will answer, and what you need to show in the video.
    • Upload the video(s) for review by the deadline to complete the project.
  • Project Availability: There are new projects added all of the time, so if you do not have any available projects (or they are ones you do not want to do), keep checking the app and your emails for new project invites.
Payment Information
  • Payout Amount: ranges from about $5-75 per project. I see a lot around $10-$25.
  • Payment: Payment is made after the video is accepted, which takes anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks. Usually it is under a week. Once accepted, you find the reward amount for that project under “My Rewards” in the app. Click redeem (no minimum) to get paid out.
  • Payment Method: Amazon gift card.
  • Minimum to Redeem? No.
  • Time to Receive Payment: You should receive an email with an Amazon gift card code about a day after you redeem your reward within the app.

2. VeryDice

Sign up for & download the VeryDice app via the app’s website: https://www.verydice.com/When you sign up, use my friend code: 2919443 for a bonus intro 50 rolls to use.

VeryDice is a fun app that lets you earn tickets rolling dice. You get “rolls” to roll the dice each day from spinning the wheel (gives you 1-10 rolls), watching videos, inviting friends, from sweepstakes, taking surveys, and completing offers.

Tickets can be redeemed to get various items, gift cards, and sweepstake entries. Every 24 hours, you can enter 6 sweepstakes for free. You can only use the free entry option once for each sweepstake. After that, you can purchase additional entries using tickets. Some of the sweepstakes are for Amazon gift cards as well as other gift cards and products.

You can also redeem tickets for products and for gift cards. Currently, Amazon gift cards are not available here (so you need to do sweepstakes if that is what you want), but I have seen them in the past. The rewards update frequently so keep an eye out for them and enter sweepstakes in the meantime!

3. Fetch Rewards

Save money and scan grocery receipts to earn points for free gift cards with the Fetch Rewards app.

Tips: Pay attention to the listed brands and products in the app; you earn at least 1% on listed brands and products. Also, there are exclusive offers, that you can find in the app, which earn even more points. Another cool thing is the option to save money and get points with prescriptions.

Download the Fetch Rewards app here: https://fetchrewards.onelink.me/vvv3/referraltext [referral link]. Or use my referral code CJ1GJ during the sign-up process to get an extra 2,000 points ($2) bonus when you scan your first receipt.

AND refer your friends for bonus points! For a limited time, get 4,000 points when you successfully refer a friend.

4. Panel

Get the Panel app here [referral link]: panelapp.me/YP8Nl00rRq6hjh0tikvckQii

Panel rewards you points based off of location and by taking relevant surveys. You can close the app so long as you set your phone’s settings for this app to allow it to access your location (or “Always Allow” for iPhone users)

  • I do not find that this uses much battery or data.
  • I also find that when I just open the app, I tend to get some more points. This may be a syncing type thing since I usually do not have it running in the background.

Surveys pop up from time to time and are only a few short questions.

  • They usually ask questions where you were at a given time.
  • Or if you were at a store, then they may ask if you were looking for or bought a certain product.
Rewards

Use points for rewards and sweepstakes entries.

  • Sweepstakes include changes to win visa gift cards, various gift cards for Visa, Amazon, stores, gift cards for restaurants and other retailers, and various physical goods.
  • As of writing this post, the items available through sweepstakes included: a free Android tablet or iPad, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Chromecast, and Amazon TV fire stick. This in addition to the sweepstakes for gift cards.

Guaranteed rewards let you redeem your points and get the reward without having to win a sweepstake. If you go to guaranteed rewards it will cost more points than sweepstakes (which start as low as 5 points). As of writing this point, you can redeem points for:

  • Amazon Gift Cards of $1 (2,000 points), $2 (4,000 points), $5 (10,000 points), and $25 (30,000 points).
  • Visa gift cards for $5 (10,000 points) or $25 (30,000 points).
  • $15 Walmart gift card for 20,000 points.
  • $25 Playstore gift card for 30,000 points.

So, you have two options to get free Amazon gift cards: sweepstakes and guaranteed points. With this app, it does take time to earn a lot of points. Because of that, you may want to try your luck with the sweepstakes options if you are starting out and want a chance for an Amazon gift card.

To learn more about the Panel app, read my post on 5 apps that reward you to move.

5. Shopkicks

Another app to earn gift cards is Shopkicks. With Shopkicks, you earn “kicks” through various tasks around shopping (walk-ins to stores, scanning receipts for certain items, scanning items in stores, referring friends, and watching short videos) that can be used for free gift cards.

For Amazon gift cards, the smallest amount is $5, which is 1,250 kicks. Some retailer gift cards start as low as $2.

Use my referral code and we both earn 250 kicks after you walk in or scan.

6. Mobee

Mobee is a gig app that gives you points for short tasks while you shop. Then these points can be used for gift cards for various retailers, including Amazon. The smallest dollar value for an Amazon gift card is $5 and takes 500 points to get.

Use my referral code 6HXM to earn 300 points when you sign up and complete your first mission. Usually, missions pay at least 250 points, and the reward can get to over 1000 points. So, if you sign up, use my referral code, and complete a mission, you should have enough for your first free $5 Amazon gift card.

Why stop at $5? If you want to keep earning free gift cards on Mobee, keep doing missions!

  • Also, you can earn bonus points in completing the Achievements (see the app tab for types of achievements available – typically completing a certain number of missions in general and several missions at select stores).
  • Another way to easily get more points, is to look for higher-paying featured missions and missions available at stores you are going to shop at anyways.
  • Plus, refer your friends to Mobee app to snag your own referral bonus points. Limit: 100 friends.

Read more about the Mobee app in my post on gig apps.

7. JobSpotter

Another way to get Amazon gift cards is by taking pictures of help wanted signs of businesses with the JobSpotter app.

For each submission, the amount of points rewarded varies from 5-200 points. 1 point = 1 cent. In the app, go to “wallet” to redeem your point balance for Amazon gift card credit. There is NO minimum amount to redeem so you can redeem whenever you want and as often as you want. For processing, it takes up to 2 weeks to get your Amazon gift card.

Read more about the JobSpotter app here: https://wanderingformoney.com/5-microtask-apps/. But note that a few changes to the app have been made.

Changes to the JobSpotter App (updated as of November 2019):
  • First, there is no longer an option to earn points by reviewing other peoples’ pictures.
  • Also, in the past, smaller businesses earned more points. But now it is more based on how long ago it was since another user submitted the same help wanted sign.
    • And you also get a lot more points if you are the first user to post a help wanted sign for a store that is not on the map yet.
  • Additionally, there is a new map feature, which shows submissions from all users in the area.
    • Looking at the map visually, the light green dots have a lower estimated point value than dark green dots.
    • Then, grey dots mean another user has submitted a help wanted sign for that store already today and so if you do on the same day, it will be marked as a duplicate.
  • Now you can submit pictures of help wanted signs every day for stores (even if you submitted one for the same store already) so long as it is not on the map showing a grey dot.
    • If you submitted the same sign yesterday though and resubmit it, then you may not earn many points. But you can check the map to see!

8. ReceiptPal

ReceiptPal is another receipt scanning app. Earn points by scanning any receipt and redeem those points for gift cards. To learn more about ReceiptPal, read my post on receipt scanning apps: https://wanderingformoney.com/apps-scanning-receipts-or-receipt-apps/.

With Dabbl, you earn points by taking short surveys and for watching quick ads. Yes, you get points by watching quick ads (around 5 seconds for 10 points) that are almost always available.
