verydice App Review – August 2018 [Updated: November 2018; AGAIN – January 2019]

This post is my verydice app review as of August 2018 [Updates: November 2018] [NEW Updates: January 2019] . Originally, this verydice app review post was written when I only recently downloaded it and it has gone through a few little changes. I have now been playing it constantly and love it, but it has grown into more with some new extra features. So I have made a few updates since then! 

Now for my verydice app review!

Verydice App Review

Basics of Verydice App

• Get the App: Sign up for & download the verydice app via the app’s website: https://www.verydice.com/.  This site has a link for both the App Store and Google Play.
  • When you sign up, use my friend code: 2919443.
  • This gives you an immediate 50 rolls to get started!
• Rolls and what you do with them: You have a number of rolls available, which are used to roll dice.
  • Use rolls to roll two dice for tickets.
  • How this works? Two dice are rolled. And the value of the two combined, which will be from 2-12. Then, this is applied to your account as a ticket.
  • Doubles (rolling two dice with the same number) can lead to extra incentives and bonus tickets.
  • PLUS: you can choose to roll double the dice, triple, etc. (assuming you have enough rolls available).
    • Then, for example, if you choose two, you will get double of whatever you roll. (i.e., if you roll a dice with a 4 and a dice with a 3, instead of the normal 7 tickets, it awards double that = 14 tickets.).
    • If, instead, it was two 4s, then this would be doubled again for rolling doubles. So 4 x 2 = 8, then 8 x 2 = 16 tickets. 

Redeeming Tickets

• Redeeming tickets: Tickets can be exchanged for goods with free (usually) shipping. OR gift cards.
  • PLUS: NEW RAFFLES. More below.
• Costs: NONE if you do not want to purchase rolls (which you do not have to).
  • THIS IS A FREE APP. Best part of this verydice app review!
  • Cost is mainly time for surveys and rolling the dice.
  • You CAN buy rolls if you would like. BUT you can also play for free and earn real items!

What are “rolls”?

• Rolls: You need “rolls” to roll the dice. Basically – think of them as a turn to roll two dice and see what number you get.
  • You can only get credit towards the doubles challenge by rolling the dice and getting two of the same number (you need to do this for 1-6 to get the jackpot).
  • The outcome of the numbers shown on the two dice that you roll is the amount of tickets you get.
    • For example, if one dice shows a 2 and the other shows a 6, then you get 8 tickets.
  • More tickets (or bonus tickets) are awarded if both dice show the same number.
• Each roll lets you roll the dice (two of them) once.
• Rolling dice is how you get tickets which leads to prizes.

Doubles (EXTRA TICKETS! AND JACKPOT)

• DOUBLES: if you roll dice and get two dice showing the same numerical value, then here’s a few things to note:
  • First off, you get an extra reward via click just claim the bonus tickets. OR you can choose to play an optional bonus game.
    • Bonus Tickets: Also, there is a possibility for extra bonus tickets. So, say you roll two 5s, you can collect 10 bonus tickets or choose one of the bonus games*: the basketball game or shooter game (only for a double with two dice both showing a 6).
      • *If you are able to shoot the basketball into the hoop successfully in the time allotted more than 10 times, then you will get more bonus tickets.
      • *NOTE: if you decide to do double, triple, etc, when you roll the die, then you will NOT get the bonus games when you roll doubles. BUT you already get more tickets from this. AND you get a bigger jackpot if you get all 6 combos of doubles in a 24 hour period (more below).
    • Shooter game: The other bonus game is for two dice of 6s – a “shooter” type game where you navigate, while avoiding the blocks that will kill you, to shoot different dice worth 1-6 points each. Then you get bonus tickets based off how many points you collected. 

Doubles Incentive Per 24 Hours OR more if you fill up the doubles board 

• For each 24 hour period there is a possible incentive for getting a double combo for each of the 6 numbers.
  • UPDATE: NOW THIS RESETS AFTER YOU GET ALL OF THE DOUBLES (e.g., two 1s, two 2s, two 3s, two 4s, two 5s, two 6s).
• The 24 hour clock resets once you specifically opt in to try again from:
  • (1) not getting a double dice roll for each number (two dice rolling the same number for 1-6) within 24 hours and you click try again. -or-
  • (2) you did get doubles for each number during a roll in under 24 hours and you hit try again. You get your points for this latter one, but now the option to go ahead to restart the 24 hour clock and try again to fill up the doubles board.
    
    • Also, if you get doubles for each number (two 1s, two 2s, two 3s, two 4s, two 5s, and two 6s) within 24 hours, you can then choose to go right ahead and restart. Now the 24 hour clock will begin.
      • But good thing here? Since you finished getting doubles in under 24 hours, now you can start back up again AT THAT TIME vs waiting for the 24 hours you were allotted to run out.
• Rewards for completing this: Now what happens if you get each double combo in 24 hours? You get a jackpot prize. Currently, this is an extra 250 [300] tickets if you only use 1 roll per turn – it is higher if you use more.

How do you get “rolls”?

1. Referrals and Welcome Bonus

• Welcome incentive by using someone else’s verydice referral code: First off, by using my code when you sign up, you can get 50 rolls right off the bat.
  • MY CODE TO GET 50 rolls immediately: 2919443
• Refer friends: Share your code and when they sign-up, they get 50 rolls and you get 30 rolls.
  • Click on the suitcase icon at the bottom of the first page that opens when you enter the app.
    • There you see your personal friend code along with an option to share it via message or you can copy the code.
  • See screenshot below -it is the middle icon in the bottom part.

2. Spin the Wheel Daily

• Spin the wheel: there is a wheel that resets every 24 hours from when you last spun it. It is located on the main page as soon as you open the app. See screenshot.
  • Log-in and if available, hit spin.
  • It gives you 2-10 rolls.
  • The clock restarts after you spin. You can spin again 24 hours later.
  • So every 24 hours, you can get 2-10 rolls.
    • *But note, this does depend on when you last logged in though. If it was a few days ago, you still only get to spin it once. Then you need to wait 24 hours to get your next spin.

3. Action Board Items

• Take surveys, watch videos, purchase rolls, or complete tasks: There are a few free ways you can earn rolls via surveys, watching videos or completing tasks. Go back to the suitcase icon from the main screen. Scroll down to “Go to Action Feed” and click that. Here are some ways to get more rolls….
  • Videos: There are two main video options.
    • One, “Watch a video”, is typically one video that has you hit continue after 10-15 seconds for 3-4 segments.
    • The other, “Watch more videos,” is usually two videos without needing to click.
    • After watching a video or two, both options then tell you when the next video will be available.
    • Each video watched awards you one roll.
  • Surveys.
    • TapResearch and Theorem Reach Survey are the two I have had the best luck with.
      • New surveys pop up throughout the day. It states the time the survey takes and the maximum reward (# of rolls) for each survey before you start.
      • If you disqualify, usually you get a point.
    • Pollfish Survey is another option but only comes up occasionally.
  • “Complete more offers”. Basically, various tasks you can do…
    • These include tasks such as downloading a game, signing up for something (free trial or paid), playing a game on a site with no download, answering a quiz type survey on a site, etc.
    • I have not been successful at getting rolls through this option and it has been time consuming for the ones that do not ask for credit card info. For those that want payment information, on any platform, I typically stay clear of these.
  • ABCmouse.com: I have not used since it is only for those with young children.
  • Get Instant Rolls. Through this option, you can purchase rolls and receive them fast.

4. Buy Them

Look out for specials! They usually come around holidays.

Prizes

• You can exchange tickets for various prizes.
  • NOTE: when you go “redeem tickets” on the main screen page, it shows featured items for each breakdown of how many tickets they cost (2k, 4k, 6k, 8k, 10k, 20k+).
  • These are NOT the only options. These are only featured. Click search to search for other types of prizes and see what else is available.
  • You can also mark certain prizes as favorites to save for later.
  • There are SO many options, I feel I can practically get anything I would like. And they are fun to scroll through.
  • AND you can get gift cards!

• Shipping is free.

New: Raffles! [UPDATE verydice app review: January 2019]

• New – as of December 2018/January 2019, there is a NEW way to win! Raffles!
• Rundown:
  • New raffles are added almost every day and ESPECIALLY right now there are MANY in early January 2019.
  • Each raffle is for an item or a gift card.
  • They last about a day-a few days.
  • The winner is based on the random entry drawn.
  • Shortly after the raffle finishes, the winner is informed and also listed on the app.
• How to Enter? The app lets you get FREE entries for each raffle by watching an ad (30 seconds-1 minute long). The free entries range from 10-50. [UPDATE: Note you now get 3 free entries via watching an ad per 24 hours.]
  • Also, you can purchase more entries using tickets.
  • Note: it is VERY possible to get tickets for free (see everything above!).

Final Thoughts

This app is fun and let’s you earn tickets which you can exchange for items. The available items are plentiful. So this is a fun and great way to get free stuff.
