You can make a fair bit of money in select cities by letting dogs stay at your house for the day and/or night. Dog boarding is Rover.com’s highest-earning service.

But another bonus is that during the holidays, people need help watching their pets MUCH more frequently than you may realize!!! Also, it is customary (at least on Rover) to charge more for holiday dog or cat sitting services.

    • Common services include dog boarding, dog walking, housesitting, tutoring, moving services, babysitting, etc.
    • If you see someone looking for a service you provide, you can easily communicate with them right in the app.
  • In addition to responding to people looking for help, you can post and advertise your own services and availability.
  • Also, you can list items to sell.
  • For local businesses, Nextdoor will let you list your local business for free.
How to Start
  • Download the app from the iOS store or Google Play, or visit the website Nextdoor.com.
  • Fill out your information to create an account.
  • Wait until another member confirms you.
    • Since Nextdoor will ask current members if they know someone by your name at your current address, no action is needed on your part.
    • It took very little time (under an hour) for me to become approved.
  • Now start!

Offer Handy Tasks Such as Moving Services, Shopping, Running Errands, and More

Around the holidays, it can get a bit hectic and so there is plenty of demand to get a little extra help. And so there are more options to make extra money over the holidays!
