Fall Treat – Easy Recipe for Caramel Pear

Fall Treat – Easy Easy Recipe for Caramel Pear / Spin on Candied Apple (and apps I used to save and make money too!)

If I say this caramel fall treat is easy and still have fingers to type this, you can do it.

fall treat super easy

Only takes about 5 minutes and is really good. My mom made this caramel apple desert. I tried it with a pear. Both are great.

How to make a caramel, pear & walnut fall treat

Ingredients and Supplies?

  • Ingredients:Pear (or Apple), Caramel, and Walnuts
  • Other materials:
      • -Fruit or vegetable slicer, or knife for cutting the apple or pear. I used this one.

      • -Cutting board – I like this one because I do not do much cutting but do not want to do everything on a plate or countertop. It worked quite well.

      • -(optional if you do not buy walnuts pre-chopped) chopper for walnuts
      • (if you prefer knives) this is a good set

Instructions

  • Slice the pear or apple.
  • Put in bowl.
  • Put a few spoons’ worth of caramel over the sliced pear.
  • Heat in the microwave for about 45 seconds.
  • Sprinkle walnuts.

Enjoy.

    • For example, the CVS ExtraCare app.
      • I link my ExtraCare member rewards card to deals that then get applied automatically when I pay in store.
      • It can REALLY add up on top of other deals like in-store promotions.
      • It has been one of my favorites.
      • Learn more about it here: https://www.cvs.com/mobile-cvs/apps.
    • For stores you visit frequently, I would recommend seeing if they have an app. Some can offer a lot of discounts that link right to your store savings card. But it depends where you shop – so just look and see!

Plus…I grabbed some money while getting my ingredients through secret shops.

I also did a few secret shop gigs while picking up my pears, walnuts and caramel that were in the stores I visited. These were the three I used this time.

Final Thoughts

This was a fun activity. All the apps listed above I used. A lot were automated for the savings part.

The others fit in so easy it took way longer listing them out because I almost forgot.

Even though it looks like a lot of things, it was fun and only hard to remember (besides the savings, money/rewards, and fall treat of course). Getting the ones you like and work for you is the hardest part.

After that, it can be as much or little effort as you want it to be.

It is always nice to just see a pop up that you got some money back or a payment.
