Weekly Photo Challenge – Weathered
Weekly Photo Challenge – Weathered
I like this week’s photo challenge topic on weathered because I bought an old item off eBay using all money from apps – some was on PayPal and some was from apps that payout in gift cards which usually is faster to get. Worked out well because I found this gem.
The real life version is in color obviously but I like the black and white for the theme weathered. It makes my nightstand look weathered too… but my nightstand isn’t the weathered part.
It’s this compass from World War I which amazingly still works. It does tremble some, which makes me wonder where it has been these past 100 years and how much it saw – if it could talk and tell me. I think it may say I didn’t think I would end up bought with money made from smartphone apps to have you take artistic photos of me with your smartphone. ☺.
100 years ago, I don’t think anyone would have thought the compass they had could eventually be bought using make money apps and shipped across the world. I didn’t think I’d be so mesmerized by it! It gives me more appreciation to every little scratch and crack. Each one may have a story behind it. One we won’t ever know. It’s a mystery that you can see but can’t solve and neither can google. That’s what I always liked about older buildings – I wonder what all has happened and how they have changed. And the stories they could tell us if they could talk.< span style=”color: #000000″>Buildings though there’s usually more information on. A small non-uniquely identifiable, weathered compass that can be shipped to another country? Makes for some good photos until it goes to who I bought it for as a Christmas present. It’s still continuing it’s very long journey. ((Unless I keep it. Jk dad🤗.))Like taking photos too? Check out the apps I have listed in my last post on selling stock photos.
