Want to Get Into This Whole Cryptocurrency Thing?

Cryptocurrency – the biggest of which is bitcoin – is all over the news. For good and bad reasons. A lot of people already got into it. And yes, they may have made out like a bandit. Or some have. But there was a crash, and I am certainly no expert on what will happen next. I would suggest checking other blogs for that. HOWEVER, if you are curious into just getting a bit of crypto portfolio going on or earning cryptocurrency, but do not want to give up your (real) money to get it, there are apps and sites that let you earn cryptocurrency!

Apps and Websites that Pay in Cryptocurrency – A Way to Earn Cryptocurrency (Without Having to Spend 🙂 )

1.  GrindaBuck

• Rundown: It depends what you do on here. Some surveys can pay well. Some activities are super passive (videos running in the background). So the time it takes to get much depends.
• HOWEVER, this will let you redeem for all the main cryptocurrencies on Coinbase: Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum and Litecoin.
• If you want some kind of cryptocurrency presence but want to just do surveys or passive activities because you are still skeptical, check this out.

2.  Bitcoin Alien Run

• Available: on App Store and Google Play.

• Fun! It is basically a running type game.
• Payout: Rewards in Satoshi.
• Unless you are really good it will probably take a while…. but it’s a fun game.
• Payment method: enter your information for payment which may be an email. It pays out to your payment method every Tuesday that your balance is at least 10,000 satoshi.
• Other thing to note: there is a button in the app that says free bitcoin, but I have never see options available for me in there when I have tried clicking on it.

3.  MooCash/MooJoy/MooRewards

• Available: All three of these apps, MooCash, MooJoy, and MooRewards are available on the App Store and Google Play.
  • Even though it is three different apps, your points that you earn within each one are aggregated together. E.g., if you earn 500 in MooJoy and 300 in MooCash, your point balance in either app will show 800 total.
• My experience: I do not use these apps at the moment and will not comment further on that.
  • Mainly rude developer experiences.
  • However, they do (usually – this is always subject to change) offer cryptocurrency as potential reward/cash-out options.

  • Other rewards include PayPal and gift cards.
• Note: 
  • Beware that they may just up and change their reward options on you. For example, you may be aiming for $10 USD in bitcoin and it gets deleted right before you go to get it.
  • Be aware of fees too.

4.  Observa

• This is a gig type app. So for more info on this app, check out my previous post on it in my earlier post re gig apps.
• Update though! It very recently announced in an email that it will offer an option for users to get paid out in cryptocurrency!

5.  Robinhood

• Available: get the app on the App Store or Google Play.
• Rundown: investing type app but that offers cryptocurrency as part of the potential investments.

  • Official app message: Join Robinhood and we’ll both get a stock like Apple, Ford, or Sprint for free. Make sure you use my link.
  • I received a free share using someone’s referral code. No it was not Apple. The higher value ones have a lower chance of receiving but you never know. And hey free is free.
